About My Artwork

My artwork is primarily inspired by my own musical experiences, scientific discovery and spiritual ideals. Certain elements which are repeated in many of my paintings represent specific ideas to me. Orbs represent the unbroken circle and the birth of life within our starspangled universe. My use of ribbons denotes the connection between all things.

I am attracted to specific subject matter which has led to various series of paintings. I am inspired by mythology, the human form, physical science and astronomy, musical instruments and their history, operatic stories and popular song lyrics, singers, our seasonal experience of the rhythms of life, cultural ideosynchrasies, proverbs, wit and ancient wisdom.
